Streetwear Lookbook Design
Editorial lookbook design for BLCK MRKT's SS26 collection — a 32-page print and digital publication that functions as both a product catalogue and a brand manifesto. Designed to be kept, not discarded.
The brand's previous lookbooks felt generic — standard fashion grid layouts with no editorial voice. The new lookbook needed to feel like a magazine, not a catalogue.
The lookbook drove a 60% increase in average order value during the launch period. Customers were photographing and sharing the physical booklet on social media, generating organic UGC.
BLCK MRKT SS26 lookbook — design process and final spreads
Editorial Direction
Developed the editorial concept — a raw, high-contrast aesthetic inspired by underground zine culture. Defined the grid system, type hierarchy, and image treatment style.
Layout & Composition
Designed all 32 pages with deliberate variation — full bleeds, text-heavy spreads, and product detail pages each with distinct layouts that maintain visual coherence.
Typography & Finishing
Custom type setting throughout — manual tracking, optical alignment, and deliberate rule-breaking in the display type to reinforce the brand's anti-establishment positioning.
Print & Digital Prep
Prepared print-ready files with bleed, crop marks, and colour profiles for the print run. Also produced a digital flipbook version and social excerpt assets.
